Eardly and I (@RyanDurgy on Instagram) had an amazing time at Western University’s University Students’ Council Charity Committee’s Charity Ball 2014!
You definitely should check out our red carpet coverage of the event! In this Western University Charity Ball 2014 video (link below), there is making out, grinding, twerking, celebrities and so much more!
When I woke up this morning and received a notification that my 19 year old brother Patrick Durgy had completed a Neknomiation, I was quite surprised.
Then I realized, there’s no way that my brother is going to be another one of those douchebags binge drinking in some desperation to prove their masculinity. He isn’t about that life.
Speaking of the video, Patrick says, “Anyone can do it! Thats the reason I made this video, so everyone can see how easy it is to use the internet to help promote a positive cause instead of a negative one.”
I was very proud of my very own kin for creating a Neknomination challenge that would give back to the community while inspiring others to do the same.
In the video (link below) you’ll see my bro on ice with some of his Campbellton Tigers Junior A teammates, completing a creative challenge to raise money for groceries to donate to a local food bank.
By now you’ve probably had your eyes assaulted with bro’s acting like high schoolers, while wearing little clothing and filming their drinking challenges for the world to see on the internet.
The idiotic game is called “Neknomination” and finally a Western University student has stood up against his Neknomination and done something different by doing something positive with it, while delivering an inspiring message.
Check out Adam Lemkow‘s positive response to his Neknomination, in the video below. Continue reading
I’m loving Foster The People‘s newest single, “Coming Of Age“!
I’m a huge Foster The People fan and actually had the opportunity to see them live in Hollywood during the summer of 2012. What an amazing concert!
I’m excited to hear more of their music in 2014 and I hope you enjoy their first single, which you can listen to below:
When I started writing these Student Spotlight posts, I always had Sudha in mind to be featured at some point.
This Science student, Double majoring in Medical Sciences and French Literature, is a ball of energy and always so enthusiastic to get involved. Continue reading
This Spunky Western Student Made A Video For Every Day in 2013!
What a great start to the New Year! As I wrote out my New Year’s Goals and scrolled through my newsfeed of Instagram flipagrams, I came across something that caught my eye. Western University student Avery Gillis had posted a video of clips from every day of her life in 2013. Avery not only had the creative idea to film a video every day of 2013 but also stuck with it and the video below is the final result. Continue reading
“New Year, New You!”
I’m sure you’ve read this saying countless times today, as you scrolled through your newsfeed while hungover in bed.
I decided to put together a list of my goals for the New Year, 2014. I like to call them goals rather than resolutions because people tend to make resolutions this time of year and keep with them for a couple of months and then forget. Whereas with goals, I find that people tend to focus on accomplishing them more adamantly, and that’s hopefully what I will do! Continue reading
My lovely sister suggested this song as one that I would enjoy. I listened to it and it was a good song. But it’s not until I heard it blasted on a car stereo that I really fell in love with the song. These “Listen To This“ posts recently seem to be a family affair, as my bro suggested a quicker song for the previous LTT post.
The Neighbourhood‘s “Sweater Weather” lyrics impressed me, combined with the melody that was reminiscent of my favourites Lana Del Rey and Lorde.
